Daycare- How To Survive The First Day

of course this is solely based on my own experience from earlier today....

1. Sign your baby up for a daycare that has kiddie cameras
2. Stick around the room with him for about 10 minutes to make sure that he isn't scared out of his mind and that all the daycare workers love him :)
3. Go straight home and promptly stare at the kiddie camera for as long as you can stand to leave him there (in our case, a little over 2 hours). If you cannot stare at the cameras yourself, have your mother do it and stay on the phone with her.
4. Feel your heart melt when your baby smiles when he sees that you are back to pick him up.

This is how it worked for us! I have to return to work Monday, May 3rd but this week I'm taking Reid to daycare for a few hours a day and each time leaving him there longer. I think it's better to slowly warm him up to the idea of being at daycare rather than just drop him off for 5-6 hours the first day. Plus, it's better for me because I can watch him and prove to myself that they are taking care of him and he will be okay.

Your daycare experience sounds better than mine! Hah! Probably because you're starting out slow unlike I did. Smart girl! Are you going back to work part time? We should get together for a play date once the babies are old enough to enjoy each other! :)

I know exactly what daycare you're talking about. I almost enrolled my son.

I found you on mom blogs, clicked MS, clicked you, and we're from the same town. Crazy. Lol.

I just started my blog, check it out if you'd like:

Oh and I followed you.
